3.8.0 – 2025 October 28

Changes

  • The background image set under Design → Background image is now anchored to the workspace and no longer moves when the workspace is shifted. Existing “background images” have been converted into image objects within the network, so they behave as before.
  • In the Network area, the element selection dropdown in the sidebar header is now hidden behind a button. The title can now be edited directly in the header section.

New Features

  • Dynamic Toolbar
The toolbar in the network now automatically adapts to the selected elements and design objects. This allows you to change settings for multiple objects at once (e.g. color, font size, …).
  • Layers
Elements in your models can now be organized into multiple layers. Each layer can be individually shown, hidden, or locked.
  • Groups
Do several objects belong together? You can now group them in the network so they’re always selected and moved together. Group them via right-click, with CTRL + G, or via the Layers menu.
  • Alignment Functions
Align your elements with the new alignment buttons that appear in the toolbar as soon as multiple objects are selected. Objects can be aligned along edges or evenly distributed within an area.

Other Improvements

  • Sidebars are now available for texts, images, and shapes in the network.
  • The context toolbar in the network can now be expanded or collapsed.
  • In formatted text fields, you can now adjust text color, alignment, font size, and line height.
  • Titles of most objects can now be edited directly in the sidebar header.
  • New shortcut: hold Alt while resizing objects in the network to resize them symmetrically.
  • Resizing windows should now work much more reliably.
  • Text alignment: paragraphs in rich text fields can now be centered, left-aligned, or right-aligned.
  • When multiple objects are selected in the network, the right-click menu adapts accordingly.
  • When editing text in the network, the standard toolbar is now replaced with a text-specific toolbar.
  • Multiple list entries can now be selected at once (using CTRL + Click or SHIFT + Click) and moved or deleted together.
  • Elements can now be anchored in the network.
  • The Background image setting of a model now supports fixed background images that stay in place when the network view is moved.
  • New setting: the footer of your model can now be displayed in a non-blocking mode. This expands the network view to fill the entire workspace down to the bottom edge.
  • Linked texts: text objects can now be linked to a text property of an element (e.g. “Description” or “Title”). The text then always displays the value of that property — and editing it will also update the linked property.
  • The height of text sections in the network now automatically adjusts to the amount of contained text.
  • The sidebar toggle button now has a background to remain visible even with dark model backgrounds.
  • In elements, you can now separately choose whether the value and the bar are displayed.

Bug Fixes

  • If the same email address is entered twice in the list of invited members, the two entries are now merged.
  • Pressing Enter in the model creation popup now moves the focus to the next input field.
